Motherhood & Tough Lessons to Teach

These two posts written by C. Jane Kendrick are quick & powerful; Both took my breathe away while I was reading them and I loved it. As always, I hope you love them as much as I do. I believe there is a great & beautiful lesson to be learned from them.

It will be years (+ a couple more for precaution) before I begin the journey of motherhood — But I’d be lying if I said my chitlin won’t have this onesie.

I hope you’re having one of those days where you get things done that have been bugging you for weeks. I know that’s how my day is going, and it feels so good.

All that it wanted to be

On March 20th 2011 I embarked on a new adventure. During that adventure I sailed amid many incredible sunsets, found inspiration from every fish in the sea & experienced a handful of storms that forced me to just breathe & trust the wind. In the end I met you at the perfect little dock. I am proud to say that you are far from regular and I am so glad I’ve been given the chance to be graced by your love & light. Cheers to letting the first ocean we sailed together be all that it wanted to be & here’s to many more together.

1 year down sweets! Happy birthday baby blog! And thank you, I couldn’t have a better crew.

All my love, Bailey Mikell

Life Is Made For..

I have found a new love that makes early mornings something to look forward to… Eggs over easy, wheat toast, cholula hot sauce & a good book in bed. I used to make scrambled eggs every single day after school in elementary. I wouldn’t eat them with anything except ketchup (I know, sort of gross). After a couple years I burned myself out & dodged all eggs. For some reason I woke up ready to give them another shot, and I’m glad I did. Add some coffee/tea & you’re in heaven.

I’ve decided life is made for pb&j’s & dancing your ass off in the kitchen (to this song, naturally), so that is what is on my agenda on my day off. The floor also needs to be mopped & I’ve got laundry for days. My closet will be color coated by the end of today no matter what measures I have to take to make sure of it. There are a couple sites that have great tips for the perfect closet. These are the two I’m looking to for guidance 1/2
